WALK was originally made in 1981 as a one-of-a-kind experimental photo book. It combined photographs made while walking in Richmond Virginia, and Rochester New York — two mid-size cities I’ve lived and walked in the past four decades. It was printed on Kodak “A” surface paper and hand bound with a four hole stab sewing. The original negatives were scanned for this digital facsimile, rendering contrast and shadow detail the photographer never knew existed.
