A foldabet book is based on ALPHABOOK 4, an oversized, hand-cut and folded one-of-a-kind book Scott McCarney made in 1984. ALPHABOOK 4 is part of a series of books that physically define letterforms through book structure. They are experiments in the readability and legibility of dimensional typography activated in space with the turning of pages. A FOLDABET BOOK flattens letterforms with photography, but activates the alphabet with folded pages.
